Professor Weijun Fan, from the Center for Cancer Control and Prevention at Sun Yat-sen University, and his team explored the efficacy and mechanisms associated with cryoablation combined with transarterial perfusion of PD-1 inhibitors in the treatment of melanoma liver metastases. Their combination therapy obtained excellent therapeutic results and he believes that cryoablation changed the tumor microenvironment of metastases and promoted the efficacy of PD-1 inhibitors.
