Call for papers to research topic, “Tumor Ablation and Immunity” in Frontiers in Immunology

Septemper 8,2022

Dear ISC Members,

Dear Friends,

Recently, Prof. Dr. Yueyong Xiao, the former ISC president, have been working in collaboration with ISC Honorary President Prof. Dr. Nikolai korpan and Prof. Dr. Min Kuang in establishing a new article collection entitled: “Tumor Ablation and Immunity” (https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/36976/tumor-ablation-and-immunity) in high quality scientific journal “Frontiers in Immunology“ (Impact factor 8.786, JCR Q1). They have been in contact with some high profile and promising new researchers as Guest Associate Editors, and so they are excited as they look forward to publishing some interesting developments within the field of ablation and immunity including Cryoablation.

To date, the research topic has received nearly 30 high-level articles from experts around the world, some of which have now been officially published.

The aim of the collection is to bring together the latest quality articles from researchers working in the area of various types of local physical ablation and immune-related research, focused on cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, irreversible electroporation, laser ablation and immunotherapy. All research will be published Open Access. They additionally aim to put together a free eBook of all published manuscripts to provide an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of the latest research developments in the field.

Having considered your expertise in cryoablation as ISC members we thought that you may be interested in contributing an article to this collection? Perhaps you would like to publish something similar to the aforementioned project or possibly you may have some new research you are currently working on towards publication?

Also, please feel free to suggest any other recent research you have been working on that would be a good fit and what type of article would you be interested in submitting!
Please note that all contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope and article types specified by the specialty section in which the project is open for submission.
You can find more information on this Research Topic on the project homepage, including the deadlines and the links to submit your abstract and manuscript.

If successful they hope to publish an eBook and editorial which will extend the reach, impact and success of published manuscripts within the collection. They have decided to work with Frontiers in Immunology in establishing this collection as currently they are a leading journal within the field (IF 8.786 / CiteScore 9.8). We understand that leveraging their mission for high quality publication and working alongside high impact researchers including the Field Chief Editor Luigi Daniele Notarangelo will significantly increase the potential for creating real impact amongst our peers within the field.
Also, we must add that this would also be a great opportunity to take advantage of the network we have established and communicate with other leading researchers from within our field. We are sure that this will help establish an interest for future high impact collaborations.
Submissions are progressing now, so if you are interested, please contact them within the next few weeks. They look forward to learning more about your research further and discussing your participation soon!
