After many preparations and establishments, the internationally advanced 3T high-field iMRI operating room was established in the Radiology Department of the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital. The operating room is equipped with GE Discovery MR750w scanner, advanced navigation equipment and life monitoring equipment, and has advanced MR-compatible argon-helium cryoablation, microwave ablation, and biopsy equipment.

3T MRI guided interventional surgery has unique advantages, including no radiation, fast imaging, functional imaging and heat map imaging. Cryoablation has the advantages of high efficiency, safety, less patient pain, less complications, and low cost for the treatment of tumor lesions. Under the leadership of Professor Xiao Yueyong, the team performed cryoablation on tumors in various parts of of the body, included liver, bone, pelvis and so on. During the operation, the advantages of high-field MR and cryoablation were fully utilized, and good efficacy has been unanimously recognized by peers and patients.
