On the academic conference on China's interventional Radiology in the journey of ten thousand miles held on October 18-20, 2019, in Changchun City, Jilin Province, China. The lectures on quality control and techniques of cryoablation by Prof. Xiao Yueyong, and cryotherapy of metastatic bone tumors by Prof. Zhang Xiao, attracted the attention of more than 200 colleagues attending the conference.
Image-guided cryoablation has the advantages of high efficiency, good curative effect, less complications and low cost. Metastatic bone tumors are very common clinically, and traditional treatment is not very effective, such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The team of Prof. Xiao Yueyong carried on individualized treatment for metastatic bone tumors by cryoablation, especially in 3T-MRI guided cryotherapy, significantly increased curative effect, reduced the complications, unanimously recognized by the vast number of doctor and patient. It fully reflects China's leading position of cryotherapy in the world.
